In a previous example, “Clearing the video on a Spark VideoElement control in Flex 4″, we saw how you could clear a Spark VideoElement control’s video stream in a Flex 4 application by calling the clear() method on the VideoElement instance’s videoObject property.

The following example shows how you can clear a Spark VideoPlayer control’s video stream in a Flex 4 application by calling the clear() method on the VideoPlayer instance’s videoElement.videoObject property.

Listening for cue point events on a Spark VideoPlayer object in Flex 4

In a previous example, “Viewing a video’s cue points using a Spark VideoPlayer control in Flex 4″, we saw how you could view a video’s cue points using a Spark VideoPlayer control in Flex 4 by listening for the metadataReceived event and then inspecting the VideoEvent object’s metadataInfo.cuePoints property.

The following example shows how you can detect cue points on a Spark VideoPlayer object in Flex 4 by listening for the cuePoint event on the Flex VideoPlayer object’s inner VideoElement object and then using the mx_internal namespaced fl.video.VideoPlayer object.

Setting the playhead update interval on the Spark VideoPlayer control in Flex 4

The following example shows how you cna set the playhead update interval on a Spark VideoPlayer control in Flex 4 by setting the playheadUpdateInterval property on the VideoPlayer object’s internal VideoElement object using the mx_internal namespaced fl.video.VideoPlayer object.
