Setting the ligature level on a Spark TextInput control in Flex Gumbo

In earlier examples, “Embedding fonts in Flex Gumbo” and “Setting the typographic case on a Spark TextArea control in Flex Gumbo”, we’ve seen how to embed fonts in Flex Gumbo.

The following example shows how you can set the ligature level on a Spark TextInput control in Flex 4/Gumbo by setting the ligatureLevel style to one of the static constants in the flash.text.engine.LigatureLevel class.

Adding icons to a Flex Accordion control (redux)

In a previous example, “Adding icons to a Flex Accordion control”, we saw how you could add embedded icons to a Flex Accordion container by setting the icon style.

The following example shows how you can set a separate icon on an Accordion header when the header is selected by looping over each header using the getHeaderAt() method and setting the selectedUpIcon, selectedOverIcon, and selectedDownIcon styles.

Setting a custom divider alpha on the DividedBox container in Flex

In a previous example, “Setting a custom divider color on the DividedBox container in Flex”, we saw how you could set a custom divider color on a Flex DividedBox container (HDividedBox or VDividedBox) by setting the dividerColor style.

The following example shows how you can set a custom divider alpha on a Flex DividedBox container (HDividedBox or VDividedBox) by setting the dividerAlpha style.

Creating a toggle button in Flex using the FxToggleButton control

The following example shows how you can create a toggle button in Flex Gumbo using the FxToggleButton control in the latest version (build 4.0.0.3584) of the beta Flex Gumbo SDK.
This example also shows the new Flex Gumbo syntax for two-way data binding:

  • inline: <FxToggleButton id="fxToggleButton" selected="@{fxCheckBox.selected}" />
  • MXML: <Binding source="fxCheckBox.selected" destination="fxToggleButton.selected" twoWay="true" />
