I haven't tried it, but I think you may need to extend the mx.skins.halo.ToolTipBorder class, override the &lt;code&gt;updateDisplayList()&lt;/code&gt; method, and specify the corner radius in the &lt;code&gt;drawRoundRect()&lt;/code&gt; method for the "errorTipRight", "errorTipAbove", and "errorTipBelow" skin states.
